What are you using AWS Cloudfront for?

We are using Amazon Web Services Cloudfront as a content delivery network, a global network of servers, to ensure an equally fast delivery of our contents and services everywhere in the world. The content entails JavaScript files, so basically, our Chat Widgets. The Widgets deliver the source code that’s required for the execution of our chat software. AWS CDN also delivers the images and stylesheet files of our website www.userlike.com.
When using the CDN to deliver the technical components (such as website images, JavaScript code, stylesheet files), only the following personal data is processed by AWS and deleted after 24 hours:
  • IP address
  • Browser
  • Operating system
  • Timestamp
  • Encryption algorithm
  • Encryption protocol
We use Amazon Web Service Route 53 (AWS Route 53) to provide our core service of communication between server and client, which enables us to provide the live chat. AWS Cloudfront is globally certified in regards to cybersecurity. It is also considered a HIPAA-eligible service.

Note
The chat transcripts and all personal data are stored exclusively on servers of the company Hetzner GmbH in Germany (Falkenstein).
