On Saturday (June 28th, 2025), the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), which is derived from the European Accessibility Act (EAA), will come into force.
Userlike's Website Messenger can be used with all common accessibility tools provided by your operating system.
We will also provide independent audit results in the near future.
Here you will find a list of various points of our approach to ensure accessible use of our product:
Userlike Settings
- Stricter (WCAG AA-compliant) verification of contrast ratios for theme colors in the Widget Editor, including notifications when contrast ratios are insufficient
Userlike Website Messenger
- Semantic landmarks and ARIA attributes for better screen reader support
- Proper heading structure (h1, h2, ...) for organizing and structuring content
- Improved color contrast to meet WCAG AA standards
- Enhanced text alternatives for non-text content
- Accessible form labels and error messages
- Keyboard navigation support
- Focus management for views, modals, and menus
- Improved pointer and touch targets
- Enhanced descriptions for buttons and links
- Clear status messages and notifications
- Since Userlike is a classic Software-as-a-Service, you don't need to take any active steps to use these features. If configuration by you is necessary to meet certain legal requirements (e.g., color design), you can make these changes easily and without programming knowledge in your Userlike account, as always.
